1 1/4 c water
1 c sugar
1 qt strawberries
dash salt
3 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp water
1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
red food coloring
In saucepan, mix water and sugar and boil until clear. In a separate bowl, mix conrstarch and water. Stir this into sugar misture and boil until thick, stirring constantly. Add food color to make a pretty red. Add salt and cool slightly. Fold in strawberries and pour into baked pie crust. Chill and serve with whipped cream or favorite topping.
